The dimly lit interiors, overhead projector, upbeat music and the ability to regulate the intensity of the lights as per our liking collectively make this resto-bar a perfect place for parties! The restaurant is divided into outdoor and indoor dining sections while the indoor dining area is further divided into lower and upper sections, the upper section being comparatively smaller area wise. A long bar counter boasting a variety of liquor, stands tall on the right side of the vast lower dining section. The seating arrangements are comfortable with clean table tops and the space management is well done.
The 7 Island Iced Tea (vodka + white rum + gin + tequila + cointreau + gold rum + beer + mix juice + mix fresh fruits) was a potent, refreshingly sweet, fruity and citrusy blend.
Papas Ala Huancaina
This was their take on the Peruvian dish comprising of potato bites with a crispy fried exterior and a delicious and soft core that were covered with oodles of moderately spicy and creamy yellow pepper cheese sauce and topped with olive rings.
Margarita Chicken Fillets
These Thin and juicy chicken fillets infused with tequila and marinated in a variety of herbs and spices, were absolutely flavourful and spicy with wonderfully overpowering peppery tones. The mexican ranch dip served alongside was mildly spicy and sweet to taste with faint lemony and grassy tones.
Minced Chicken Mini Kebabs
These minced chicken kebabs roasted in tandoor had strong smoky notes well complementing the spices that they were doused in BUT would have tasted better had they not been a tad bit tough and chewy.
This Tanzanian version of Reshmi kebabs jewelled with tiny charred specks were well cooked and mildly flavoured with faint smoky notes BUT could have been more juicy and succulent.
While the penne was cooked just right, being neither too soft (over-cooked) nor too chewy or crunchy and the yellow pepper cheese sauce was adequately thick and creamy with a faint sweet taste; adding some crunch element in the form of some more vegetables would have been perfect!
This was their version of the traditional Costa Rican dish comprising of a lightly spiced, aromatic and hearty preparation of rice and beans, accompanied by a tangy, sweet and spicy pineapple salsa and succulent chicken breasts covered in a pool of creamy and relatively sweet red pepper sauce (which was also served alongside separately) along with a sweet and grassy yogurt based dip spiked with dill.
This was an absolutely comforting treat for the taste buds, all courtesy the succulent chunks of chicken, the creamy sauce and the mild yet flavourful preparation of rice which were all served in the optimum ratio. The garlic bread loaves served alongside were a huge disappointment though.
Chicken Mongolian Pot Rice
The flavourful broth, juicy chunks of chicken, steamed rice, sweetness of the spring onion greens, faint bitterness of diced bell peppers and the nutty crunch imparted by cashews together crafted this piping hot and delectable treat.
The service was warm, welcoming and reasonably fast.
