Located in the calm and composed area of Versova, Andheri; almost near Yari road, this place is just four months old! This relatively new, all-vegetarian restaurant still happens to mark it’s presence and pull a lot of crowd towards itself, in a place like Mumbai that has so varied dining options!
Located in the compound of a gym and fitness centre, this all-vegetarian restaurant is a complete treat to the eyes! Spread across a vast area, this place is divided into three sections – the bar, the lounge and the poolside dining area. During the rains, this place is rather enclosed, but otherwise it’s an open/ roofless restaurant where you can enjoy the pleasant weather and the delicious food, drinks and also the hookah served here. Yes, you read it right, this is one of the few places in Mumbai where you can enjoy some hookah in public along with your food and drinks! The lighting is dim and sets a perfect mood for a wonderful outing with your pals. The ambience, thus, seems so wonderful and so welcoming!
The pool area is open to everyone 10pm onwards. The tiling beneath the pool gives it a very picturesque appearance and makes you wanna jump into it right away! The dim lights around the pool, plantations, tree trunks with creepers and lights wound around them and the comfortable couches make the poolside area look so beautiful!
The pool side can also be pre-booked for hosting some parties for as many as 25-55 people for minimum 4 hours. The pool can be pre-booked for parties at 10,000 INR and they provide different food packages starting from 1200 INR per person, as per your food, drinks and hookah requirements. What else can be more fun and interesting than diving into the pool and then diving into delicious food!
The service is very warm, welcoming and unbelievably fast even though they use induction to cook food here. Every table contains a tissue-holder with buttons on it; so when you are ready to order or need some attention during your meal, you just have to press the relevant buttons!
For drinks, we ordered a Pitcher of Green apple sangria while two of our pals ordered the mocktail- Sirocco cooler.
Green apple sangria – (4.5/5)
Being allowed to soak in the white wine overnight, the Sangria was just perfect and absolutely refreshing!
Sirocco cooler – (4.5/5)
Red in colour, it looked like a refreshing watermelon juice; it was actually a mixture of cranberry juice, lime and passion fruit in aerated water. Tasted uniquely flavourful and no doubt, refreshing!
Coming to the food: For starters, we ordered Grande Nachos, Oven roasted paneer, Veg Spring rolls with home made chilli sauce, Veg lollypop, Pepper cheese fondue with Garlic bread and french fries.
For the mains we ordered Penne pasta in Pink sauce, Alfredo macaroni pizza, Sirocco’s oven roasted vegetable Pizza and Thai green curry.
For desserts we didn’t have too many options to choose from. We ordered the Sizzling brownie with ice cream.
Grande Nachos – (4/5)
Corn chips made in the house generously topped with Mexican refried chilli beans, sour cream, queso sauce and salsa. Amazing!
Oven roasted paneer – (4/5)
Well cooked and tender, soft cubes of paneer marinated in a uniquely flavourful and mildly spicy dressing and roasted. The crust tasted delicious and the paneer inside was very soft and so yummy!
Veg Spring rolls with home made chilli sauce – (4/5)
Classical dish of crispy veg spring rolls served with a specially made-in-the-house sauce. The sauce consisted of tabasco sauce, mayo, garlic and chilli flakes making it quite differently spiced and delicious!
Veg lollypops – (4/5)
Spicy, tangy and delicious vegetable cutlets which were pierced on sticks and served with schezwan sauce. Tasted delicious!
Pepper cheese fondue with Garlic bread – (4/5)
Liquid cheese garnished generously with pepper in a container placed over a burning candle below to keep it warm and served with crispy and crunchy garlic bread! Simple yet innovative dish which tasted amazing!
French fries – (3.5/5)
Crispy and hot french fries that we ordered to finish the fondue that was left after we had the garlic bread. After all, wasting cheese is a serious crime!
Penne pasta in Pink sauce – (4/5)
Nothing different or innovative in this dish. Simply, well cooked penne pasta in an appropriate mixture of red and white sauces served with garlic breads, tasted delicious.
Alfredo macaroni pizza – (3.9/5)
Thin crust pizza breads made in the house topped with creamy and cheesy macaroni, unique combination of a pizza and a pasta, now who would not love that?
Sirocco’s oven roasted vegetable Pizza – (3.5/5)
Bell peppers, green chillies and onions in a tangy red sauce base over made-in-the-house thin crust pizza bread, delicious!
Thai green curry – (4.5/5)
The star of the meal! The perfectly cooked Thai green curry served with rice; one of the best I have had so far!
Sizzling brownie with ice cream – (3.5/5)
One of the quintessential desserts served almost everywhere. The brownie was perfectly warm, topped with cold ice cream and hot chocolate sauce. Delicious and what a way to finish the meal!
